Virtual School Tour Movie Night Recap

Thanks so much to the 5th grade team at Stanton Elementary for making the 6th annual virtual school tour movie night such a success! Families turned out in full force to learn more about their middle school options and engaged in several different ways throughout the evening. After a great pizza dinner, parents and students welcomed Rachel McClam (Principal, DC Prep EMC), Rashaand Sass (Vice Principal, KIPP DC KEY Academy), and Mashea Ashton (Principal, Digital Pioneers Academy) for a moderated panel. Stanton 5th graders had composed the panel questions, which also included two former Stanton students who shared their advice for middle school.advocate support            Parents were able to participate in a Q&A and learn more about various schools during the partner fair and by watching virtual school tour teasers of quality middle schools. DCSRN parent advocates worked with families individually once they were ready to complete applications. Again, thank you to our incredible partners for making the evening so beneficial to Stanton families, and we look forward to doing this again next year.
